Eligibility Criteria:
a) Candidates should possess Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science or its equivalent qualification from any recognized University in India or abroad and must have registered himself/herself under the Odisha Veterinary practitioners Act, 1970.
b) Candidates age limit should be between 21-32 years as on the 01-01-2013. Age relaxation will be applicable as per the rules.
Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of performance in written test and viva voce test.
Examination Fee:
Candidates has to pay the non refundable and non adjustable examination fee of Rs.300/- (Rupees Three Hundred) at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI). Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and Physically Handicapped are exempted from payment of this fee.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the website of OPSC http://opsconline,gov.in from 24-04-2013 to 03-06-2013 by 11:59 P M. After submission of the form online, candidates need to take the print out of the system generated application form and send the hard copy along with copies of certificates of HSC or equivalent certificates, higher secondary examination certificate, BVSc Degree, mark sheets, caste certificate etc attested by candidate or gazetted officer or notary, by super scribing the top of the envelope as “Application for the post of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon”, by Registered Post/ Speed Post/ Courier Service to the
