CPT for C.A programme | Apply Online at www.icai.org: Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is for the students who have cleared class 12 exam and are opting for career in Chartered Accountancy Programme. Interested candidates need to apply online at the official website of ICAI - www.icai.org
According to ICAI, it has been observed that a large number of students from the science background do quite well in this profession. Students after registration to the course are required to complete specified period (i.e. 60 days) from the date of registration to as on the first day of the month in
which examination is to be held, i.e., students registered on or before 1st April/1st October will be eligible to appear in June/ December examination, as the case may be. CPT exams are held twice a year in the months of June and December
Exam Pattern :
Common Proficiency Test comprises of four subjects i.e., Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is of 200 marks. This test is divided into two sessions of two hours each. CPT is an objective type test with negative marking.
ICAI will held this Common Proficiency Test (Paper- Pencil Mode) on 15th December, 2013, Sunday, in two sessions. Candidates will be allowed to opt for Hindi medium question paper booklet for answering the questions.
First Session (Morning Session) 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
Section-A, Fundamental of Accounting; Section-B, Mercantile Laws
Second Session (Afternoon Session) 02.00 p.m. to 04.00 p.m. Section-C, General Economics; Section-D, Quantitative Aptitude.
