CAT 2013 starts from 16th oct 2013 by IIM Indore: Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) has published notification for Common Admission Test (CAT 2013) for admission to various Management Programmes. Which includes Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management and Fellow Programmes in Management (FPM) at the 13 IIMs at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kashipur, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Shillong, Tiruchirappalli and Udaipur (as available).
CAT 2013 is being coordinated by Indian Institute of Management, Indore.
Reservations: 15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. 27% of seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the Non-creamy layer (NC-OBC). 3% seats are reserved for Differently Abled (DA) candidates.
The three categories of disability
(i) low-vision/blindness
(ii) hearing impand (rment,
(iii) locomotor disability/cerebral palsy. This provision is applicable if the candidate suffers from any of the listed disabilities to the extent of not less than 40%, as certified by a medical authority as prescribed and explained in the said Act
.
Fellow Programmes in Management (FPM) which is equivalent to Ph.D are offered at IIMs at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, RGIIM Shillong, Tiruchirappalli and EFPM at Kashipur and Raipur. Separate Advertisements by the Institutes will appear for the Fellow Programmes of each Institute. Each IIM will shortlist candidates for second stage of selection which may be independent of each other. The process may include Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI). Performance in CAT 2013 is an important component in the admission process.
