Combined Exam of IES / ISS by UPSC in November 2013
Combined Exam of IES / ISS by UPSC in November 2013: A combined competitive exam of Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service will be conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), New Delhi in the month of November 2013. Interested candidates shall apply online by visiting the UPSC's official website www.upsconline.nic.in.
The Online applications can be filled up by September 16, 2013 till 11.59 pm. An e-Admission Certificate will be issued to the eligible candidates, three weeks before the commencement of the examination.
Examination Centers :
Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Allahabad, Jammu, Bangalore, Kolkata, Bhopal, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Chennai, Patna, Cuttack, Shillong, Delhi, Shimla, Dispur, Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram.
Allotment of centres will take place on the "first-apply-first-allot" basis, and once the capacity of a particular centre is attained, the same will be frozen.
Eligibility Criteria:
a) Educational Qualification:
For IES: Post-graduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics.
For ISS: Post-Graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or a foreign university approved by the Central Govt. from time to time.
b) Candidates age limit should be between 21-30 years
